As part of a project for a large cellular operator providing GSM 900/1800, UMTS (WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA/HSPA+) and 4G communication services, a system for automating the management of teams responsible for connecting subscribers to fixed Internet services was successfully implemented. One of the key tasks was to implement a module for managing third-party teams within the FTTx infrastructure. The flexible and powerful Atlassian Jira platform was used for this purpose, which allowed to integrate the work process of the teams into a single ecosystem with the highest possible transparency and efficiency.
The solution we provided fully automated the processes involved in managing resources and monitoring task progress, while also improving response rates and reducing operational costs. Integration with the Jira platform provided the opportunity to integrate tasks, requests and reports in a single interface, which greatly simplified the interaction between different process participants, including internal and external teams.
In addition, the implementation of the team management module within the FTTx system helped to improve the coordination of work at all stages - from the initial request to the completion of the connection. This made it possible to monitor the status of each connection more efficiently, as well as to respond immediately to any problems that arose, minimizing downtime and increasing customer satisfaction.
This project not only improved the overall efficiency of the crews, but also provided the necessary flexibility to scale processes to meet the growing needs of the operator and customers, providing all the tools for continued growth and development of the communications infrastructure in the future.
